The Tulsishyam temple is seven hundred years old and dedicated to Lord Krishna. 2 hr 30 min (85 km) away from the Mango resort, the temple has situated in the center of the Gir forest near Una of Junagarh district, Gujarat.

This ancient temple is a famous tourist destination. The major attraction of Tulsishyam is medicinal hot water springs that have remedial power and treat certain skin diseases. There are three hot water springs. The first spring has hot water and the second one has a little more hot water, and the last has boiling water. These elegant hot water springs are known as Taptodak, according to the Puranas

History

This historical temple is amidst the natural environment of a small but dense Sasan Gir forest area. It has over 100 steps to reach the shrine. The temple has a statue of the 'Lord Tusishyam' and is said to be it is 3000 years old. There is a Gaushala that has approximately 200 cows at the Tulsishyam. As the legend says, the 'Lord Shree Krishna' - 'Lord Shyam' killed the devil named 'Tul' here, and the place name Tulsishyam has originated from the devil name ‘Tul’ and 'Lord Krishna' name ‘Shyam’.

The Tulsishyam is generally known for its distinctions and fascinating beauty among the lush Sasan Gir forest. Visit this distinct temple that is a little drive away from the Mango resort.
